Summary

During 1993. and 1994. a field trials were carried out on hydromeliorated loessive semiglay type of soil on Vinkovci area (East Croatia).
Reaction of middle early maize hybrid Bc 592 on nitrogen fertilization (nitrogen rates were 90, 180 and 270 kg ha-1), microelements fertilizations by INA FERTINA K1 (microelements rates were Boron 0.4 and Zinc 2 kg ha-1), plant density (48.000, 60.000 and 80.000 plants ha-1), and soil moisture regime were investigated in trials.
Pheno-phases (appearance and flow), climate factors (temperatures, rainfalls effective warmth unit totals, relative air humidity, insolation etc.) and chemical analysis of soil by EUF method were observed during vegetation.
Soil moisture regime was observed too. Dynamics of immediate soil moisture content was determined by taking Samples in destroyed condition (sonde) and natural condition (Kopecky cylinders). Many other traits were done which have direct or indirect importance and influence on grain yield.
In silking phase Leaf area index was measured, and processed influence between LAI and grain yield. With grain yield, grain moisture content was determined.
By computer program and meteorological parameters balance of rainfall and first phase hydrological estimate of water balance components in soil were determined.
The most of results were processed statistically by split-split-plot analysis in four repetitions, correlation and regression analysis (simplex and complex) some traits. Average values were used in results interpretation.
